Shield Pour-On for Horses – Effectively protect your horse from irritating biting insects with a quick and easy application that lasts.

SHIELD works by spreading across the waxy layer of your horse’s skin, staying in place for extended periods. It delivers optimal results against biting insects that move across your horse's skin. For insects that gather around the legs and underbelly, applying a portion of the dose at the top of each leg is recommended. For example, for a 300kg horse, use 40mL, with 10mL on the top of each leg.

Heavy sweating, frequent washing, or rain can reduce the effectiveness of SHIELD. Under these conditions, it may be necessary to apply more frequently, up to twice a week. For best results, allow 24 hours for SHIELD to dry before hosing, brushing, or saddling.

While SHIELD has a wide safety margin, it’s recommended to do a patch test on sensitive horses, especially those with fine skin like Arabs. To minimize reactions, apply SHIELD in the shade and avoid treating during the heat of the day.
